Canal Flats

The town of Canal Flats is located between the Kootenay River and Columbia Lake, headwaters to the Columbia River. Starting as a mill town, the master plan redevelopment envisioned the old saw mill property evolving into a retail center with townhomes and apartments, new shops and markets, and a canal open space system for summer recreation and winter ice skating.
